Wheel Ordering Guidelines

For fast stock removal where finish is not critical.

     Sanamar Wheel Ordering Guidelines Use grits between 60 and 100.

Where finish is a consideration along with stock removal.

     Sanamar Wheel Ordering Guidelines Use grits between 120 and 180.

Where finish is critical with little stock removal.

     Sanamar Wheel Ordering Guidelines Use grits of 220 and above.

BOND SELECTION:

wheel bond selection B6 is used mostly in dry grinding applications.
wheel bond selection B4 is used in wet or dry applications, more durable than B6 in dry grinding.
wheel bond selection BF is used mostly in wet grinding applications, especially good for close tolerance work.
wheel bond selection BH is a high temperature bond system for heavy duty grinding.

There are a dozen other bond modifications available to suit your particular application. Please let our Representative know your application.


 

Abrasive Type:

MD Uncoated Diamond Best for low horsepower grinders.
ND Nickel Coated Best for wet applications. Higher horsepower.
CD Copper Coated Suited for dry applications.
SD Blocky, Nickel Coated Diamond This is for carbide and steel applications.
BN Cubic boron nitride For high speed steel and alloy grinding applications.

How To Order

When ordering Super Abrasive Wheels please state:

1. Quantity
2. Type, by identifying number; such as:
1A1, 6A2C, etc.....
3. Size, diameter, thickness, hole size.
4. Core Material. aluminum filled resin, solid aluminum, black bakelite, etc. See marking chart.
5. Grain and Grade Specification - which includes kind of abrasive, grit size, grade of hardness, abrasive concentration, bond process and DEPTH of abrasive.
6. Ask our representative or contact our factory for pricing information or engineering assistance.
